Allergens and Ingredients Information
Last updated: October 2025
At Coco’s Canapés, every canapé is handmade in our Bourne End kitchen using fresh ingredients sourced from trusted local suppliers.
Because all preparation takes place in a single kitchen, we cannot guarantee any of our products are free from allergens, even if an item does not contain them as an intended ingredient.
Allergen Statement
Our kitchen handles all 14 major allergens recognised under UK law, with the possible exception of lupin.
This means trace contamination is possible across all products.
The 14 major allergens as defined by the Food Standards Agency are:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, barley, rye, oats)
- Crustaceans (such as prawns, crab, lobster)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs (such as mussels, oysters, squid)
- Mustard
- Nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios, macadamias)
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds
- Soya
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (at concentrations above 10mg/kg or 10mg/litre)
Allergen Handling and Cross-Contamination
All canapés are produced in the same kitchen environment using shared equipment.
Although strict hygiene protocols are followed, including thorough cleaning between product batches, cross-contact with allergens cannot be completely avoided.
Customers with severe allergies are advised to contact us before placing an order so we can discuss ingredients and preparation in more detail.

Full allergen and ingredient information for each canapé will be provided:
- On the product page within our online shop.
